I had the opportunity to photograph one of my good friends Simone, she is a painter, a dancer with Brazil Productions and a model. Most recently she participated in the Miss Brasil USA 2009 Philadelphia pagaent. Here are some photos from her recent fashion shoot.
A local icon in the Philadelphia area, Valerie runs and operates Studio 1831, a belly dance, yoga and Pilates studio nestled in the Art Museum section of Philadelphia. Many of today’s top dancers have spent time in her studio. She’s talented and beautiful and has taught me a lot since I’ve known her; she’s one of my dearest friends and someone I can truly count on.

I recently held a photo shoot for belly dancers entitled “Shoot from the Hips“. It was great fun and I will definitely be holding more of these in the future.
